Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of Music Empowers Foundation, Inc. is responsible for implementing the Foundation's mission and for overseeing all operations of the Foundation, including: grant making, fundraising, and public relations. The Board consists of three trustees, all of whom share the Foundation's vision to help bring music education to children in communities with limited or nonexistent music programs. Current board members are:

Andy Davis
Founder and President
Andrew Davis is a seasoned marketing executive with over 30 years of leadership experience at companies such as Procter& Gamble and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals(formerly American Home Products). He has a proven track record of launching and/or growing some of the most recognizable consumer franchises in America, e.g.: Advil, Centrum and Chapstick.

Selma Cohen
Vice President
Selma’s contributions to the Foundation will be based on her significant experience in the field of public education. Her career in this field extends back over 40 years and includes numerous leadership roles at both the state and local level.

Amy Rowland
Secretary/Treasurer
Committed to mission driven organizations that engage, inform and entertain, Amy is a not-for-profit professional with over 25 years of experience in sponsorship marketing and project management in the arts and media.

The Board of Trustees meets four times per year or more frequently if necessary. Minutes of the quarterly meetings and copies of the By-Laws of the Board are available upon request.

The Foundation is always interested in learning of potential candidates for the Board of Trustees. Such candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Importantly, they must have the ability and willingness to make a significant investment in the Foundation, either through financial contribution or expertise that would serve to expand the resources or visibility of the Foundation.
