Music Empowers Foundation grants approach $400,000 in 2010, impacting over 100,000 children
The Music Empowers Foundation recently disclosed that 2010 grants and pledges will total close to $400,000. These grants will help to bring music education programs to over 100,000 kids across the country. Grants have been made to numerous prestigious nonprofit organizations, including: Little Kids Rock, the Quincy Jones Musiq Consortium, the Dr. Phil Foundation, Blackbird Academy of Arts, and Berklee College of Music, City Music Network. Each of these organizations provides engaging music education programs to children in communities where such programs did not exist.
